Congratulations to the newest graduates from CISOA’s CISO Certification Program — including the California Community Colleges Technology Center’s own Enabling Services and Support Director Michael Rajkumar. Participants who completed the program were recognized in a ceremony on the last day of the CISOA Technology Summit held in March.

Members of the California Community Colleges Technology Center’s public relations and marketing office had the privilege of attending and presenting at the 2022 CCPRO conference, held April 6 through April 8 in South Lake Tahoe.
CCPRO (Community College Public Relations Organization) is the statewide association of CCC communications professionals. Just as CISOA brings together the state CCC Chief Information Services Officers (aka CTOs) and their teams, CCPRO members are public information officers (PIOs) and/or serve on communication teams at colleges and districts statewide.

When an attack occurs, reaction time is critical, so it is important that response teams understand the process of incident handling and their individual roles and responsibilities.
RP Group Announces 2022 Award Winners

The RP Group announced the winners of its 2022 Lifetime Achievement Awards and RP Group Awards. Awardees were publicly honored as part of the annual RP Conference, held April 12 through April 14 in Garden Grove, Calif.
Each year, the group bestows two different awards to recognize exceptional contributions by individuals and teams for the benefit of California Community Colleges students and institutions.
LSP Funding Restored, Tech Center Processing Reimbursements

A former program of the California Community Colleges Technology Center has come back into the fold — temporarily.
After being handed off to the Community College League of California (CCLC) more than a year ago due to a lapse in funding, the Library Services Platform (LSP) project received a new allocation in the 2021-22 state budget. The Tech Center has been tasked with handling reimbursements to colleges for overlapping subscription costs already paid to CCLC.
