Upcoming Webinars: Peer Online Course Review

Would you like to be a Peer Online Course Reviewer? Join Lene Whitley-Putz for one of these upcoming webinars:

The OEI Online Course Design Rubric was created as part of the Online Education Initiative, with the express purpose of enhancing the quality of online courses in the California Community Colleges. As part of the OEI pilot, courses that will be taught in the OEI exchange must align to the standards set by the rubric. Each course entered into the exchange is reviewed by a team of faculty peers who engage in a collaborative review process. Since this process began, we have found the review process has been extremely fruitful for both the instructor whose course is reviewed, and the review team.

The exciting news is that we are currently adding to our team of Peer Online Course Reviewers. You, too, can be a part of this rewarding collaboration! During this webinar, you’ll learn more about the peer review process, the OEI Rubric, and course review, and you’ll take the first steps to becoming a peer reviewer. After the webinar, attendees will be eligible to enroll in the three-week Peer Online Course Reviewer Training (POCR), which begins Feb. 6, 2017.
