CCC Information Security and Accessibility Workshops, Jan. 9-10, 2017The California Community Colleges (CCC) Information Security Center and Accessibility Center will again present back-to-back workshops designed for CCC IT and information professionals, January 9-10, 2017, at Evergreen Valley College.

Registration is now open for the CCC Information Security and Electronic/IT Accessibility Workshops. Individuals can choose to attend one or both days. There is no charge to attend this event. For information and to register, visit the 2017 winter workshops event page.

The two-day event will follow a format similar to the summer IT workshops held in July. January 9 will be an all-day workshop centered on information security, presented by the CCC Information Security Center. January 10 will be an all-day workshop centered on electronic and IT accessibility, presented by the CCC Accessibility Center. Both workshops will be held at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose.

Liability Issues In Focus

With recent high-profile cases of data security breaches at higher education institutions and increased scrutiny on web and information accessibility policies and procedures, both workshops will delve into strategies and tactics to avoid the risks and liabilities associated with these. There will also be opportunities for workshop participants to discuss current challenges and share ideas and best practices.
