@ONE offers new online teaching certificate program.Technology, like the seasons, changes constantly. This year has seen many changes throughout our state, including the adoption of a common course management system, Canvas. At @ONE, we're changing, too.

In Spring 2016, we announced our new Online Education Standards & Practices (OESP) program. This fast-paced, 12-week program combines the best of @ONE's courses with targeted Canvas tutorials, providing an excellent overview of developing and teaching an online course using Canvas. Participants who complete OESP receive an @ONE Online Teaching Certificate of Completion, and participants who go on to have their OESP ePortfolio reviewed are eligible for the @ONE Online Teaching Certificate of Achievement.

Traditional Certificate Being Phased Out

But, as the saying goes, to everything there is a season. With the success of this new course, we're announcing the sunset of our traditional online teaching certificate. If you are currently enrolled in our certificate program, you have until Fall 2017 to complete the five core courses and the Practicum. Participants in the certificate program, regardless of the number of courses they have completed, can choose to enroll in the new 12-week course, OESP, at any time.

If you have completed all five of the required courses, and only have the Practicum remaining to complete the traditional certificate program, you can enroll in Online Education Standards and Practices (OESP) for the same price — that’s a discount of over $100! If you believe you qualify for this discount, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request your coupon code.

Plan Ahead For OESP Sessions

While the fall-session OESP courses are well underway, a new slate of sessions will be offered in January 2017.
