CCC Information Security & Electronic/IT Accessibility Workshops, July 25-26, 2016Capacity has been reached and registration is now closed for the Information Security and Electronic & IT Accessibility Workshops being held July 25-26 by the California Community Colleges (CCC) Information Security Center and CCC Accessibility Center.

Both workshops will be held at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Participants who stay overnight to attend both workshops are eligible for reimbursement of hotel accommodations. July 25 – Information Security Workshop

Presented by the CCC Information Security Center, workshop sessions will cover a variety of information security technologies and approaches as well as resources that are available to the colleges through the Information Security Center.

Speakers are still being sought to share their information security best practices at the workshop. July 26 – Electronic & IT Accessibility Workshop

Presented by the CCC Accessibility Center, in partnership with the High Tech Center Training Unit, the inaugural Electronic and IT Accessibility Workshop will emphasize strategies and solutions for incorporating accessibility into electronic and information technology practices at the college and district level.

Presentations will include:

  • The campus role of Section 508 and access vs. accommodations
  • Electronic and information technology policy development
  • Purchasing accessible electronic and information technology
  • Tools and techniques for accessible websites
  • Strategies for building IT access for the college and district-wide
