pescdatasummit te032416The California Community Colleges (CCC) Technology Center will announce the launch of an education-centric electronic data exchange during the upcoming PESC Spring Data Summit in Washington, D.C., April 13-15.

In a featured panel session, CCC Technology Center representatives will announce the pilot phase-one launch of EdExchange, a platform that enables the electronic exchange of standards-based data and documents between academic institutions and their service providers. EdExchange is the first project of PESC’s Common Data Services (CDS) Task Force, which was spearheaded in 2011 by the CCC Technology Center.

Representing the CCC Technology Center on the panel will be Chief Technology Officer Louis Delzompo and Project Manager Mark Cohen. The CCC Technology Center, housed at Butte College, is funded by a CCC Chancellor’s Office grant to support the work of technology initiatives, systemwide.

Louis Delzompo, Chief Technology Officer, CCC Technology CenterBilled as a General Session, the panel discussion, “Powering Portability: EdExchange Launch Powered by the Common Data Services Task Force,” will provide a comprehensive executive summary of the overall project. The panel will also announce the roll-out of a steering committee to manage the operations of EdExchange, organizations that are participating, and how CDS has partnered with key stakeholders and collaborated to ensure consistent expectations and standards. The panel will be moderated by Tuan Anh Do, Director of Enrollment Management Technology at San Francisco State University.

General Session Lineup

The EdExchange announcement and panel discussion is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 13, from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.
