CCC Chief Information Systems Officers Association (CISOA)Monterey will be the host city for the California Community Colleges (CCC) Chief Information Systems Officers Association (CISOA) Annual Conference in March 2015.


With a theme of “Partners in Student Achievement,” the conference is geared toward all CCC IT leaders and technical staff, with several offerings for all college employees. The conference runs from March 8 to March 11 at the Monterey Hyatt. Registration begins the week of Nov. 2. Check the CISOA website for details.

Workshops Added

The 2015 conference continues CISOA’s partnership with technology provider Ellucian and the CCC Banner Group (3CBG). An additional full day of workshops has been added to the upcoming conference, including a number of workshops on Ellucian’s Banner ERP system, focused on the functional users of the system in Student Services, Human Resources and Finance.

“The CISOA conference is a one-stop shop for technology in the community college system,” said conference Chair James Temple, Associate Vice President of Information Technology at College of the Canyons. “Our conference provides an opportunity to network with peers and receive information, examples and tools on trends and best practices relevant to the operation of our colleges and the success of our students.”

Call For Presentations

A call for presentations is now open, with proposals due by Dec. 5. Conference tracks will include:

  • Leadership for College IT
  • Technology/Infrastructure
  • Application Development and Use
  • Programming Techniques
  • Security
