The California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office has announced the availability of $5250 in scholarships for attending the SecureIT 2010 Conference. The scholarships are available to California Community Colleges faculty and staff.

The conference will be held March 4-5, 2010 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Los Angeles. The scholarship funding amounts to approximately 19 one-day or 15 two-day scholarships depending on the types of application received. Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) will hold its 14th annual conference, FULL SPEED AHEAD, March 8-10, 2010, at the Hyatt Monterey, in Monterey.

A new collaborative partnership has recently formed to help facilitate the development of a strong telehealth effort between CVC and CENIC and to provide enhanced telehealth infrastructure and technology resources to support health teaching and learning for California’s colleges and the communities they serve.

CCC TechEDge, the California Community Colleges system technology newsletter, has migrated to a new, entirely online format. The move continues a tradition of excellence begun in 2003 and is intended to more effectively reach the newsletter's audience.

A statewide technology-training project has enacted a new communication strategy in order to more effectively reach those it serves. The strategy includes a new Web site, use of social media and Web communication tools, and a platform that will allow development of an online community.

The Online Common Assessment Project, currently known as CCCAssess, is a new statewide effort to address the concept of centralized assessment for the California Community Colleges (CCC) system.

The California Community Colleges (CCC) Chief Information Systems Officers Association (CISOA) is seeking nomination of distinguished technology innovators for its 2010 awards. The nomination period ends January 31, 2010.
