eTranscript California, formerly CCCTran, has surpassed the 100,000 mark for electronic transcripts exchanged between its trading partners. As of February 2010 colleges ‘live’ on eTranscript California have delivered more than 104,000 transcripts to their trading partners using this statewide transcript exchange system.

CCCApply has published the results of more than a year’s worth of data collected from more than 100 California Community Colleges (CCC) that use the CCCApply application. The data analysis was conducted by a team at Contra Costa College.

This year’s conference emphasizes online learning, while going easy on the pocketbook. CUE is sponsoring other annual educational summits, such as the Alliance for Distance Education in California (ADEC), and it is offering bundles to fit everyone’s budget.

Cover of the 2010 Horizon ReportReleased mid-January, the seventh annual Horizon Report continues the work of the New Media Consortium’s (NMC) Horizon Project. The Horizon Project was established in 2002 to identify and describe emerging technologies potentially influential to higher education. The series of reports are a collaborative effort between NMC and EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI).

The eTranscript California project has received a 2010 Innovations in Networking Award in the category Educational Applications from the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC). Awardees are recognized for new network uses that hold the potential to change the way California delivers and manages education.

There are only five days left to submit a proposal for presentation to the 2010 Online Teaching Conference. Accepted presenters will have their conference registration fees waived for the conference occurring June 16-18 at San Diego City College.
